पटना, संवाददाता। बिहार में प्रशासनिक क्षेत्र में नीतीश सरकार ने बड़ा फेरबदल किया है। सरकार ने वरिष्ठ आईएएस अधिकारी ब्रजेश मेहरोत्रा को राज्य का नया मुख्य सचिव नियुक्त किया है। वरिष्ठ आईएएस ब्रजेश मेहरोत्रा अब 4 मार्च से बिहार के नये मुख्य सचिव होंगे। इसके साथ ही चैतन्य प्रसाद को विकास आयुक्त की नई जिम्मेदारी दी गई है। मुख्यमंत्री क निर्देश पर सामान्य प्रशासन विभाग ने शनिवार को इस संबंध में अधिसूचना जारी कर दी है। यह नई व्यवस्था 4 मार्च से प्रभावी होगी।
श्री मेहरोत्रा वर्तमान मुख्य सचिव आमिर सुबहानी की जगह लेंगे। वर्तमान मुख्य सचिव आमिर सुबहानी के स्वैच्छिक सेवानिवृत्ति के लिए अपना आवेदन किया था। जिसे राज्य सरकार ने मंजूर कर लिया है। सुबहानी का कार्यकाल 30 अप्रैल 2024 को खत्म हो रहा था, लेकिन उन्होंने 2 महीने पहले ही वीआरएस ले लिया है।

बिहार के नये मुख्य सचिव ब्रजेश मेहरोत्रा भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा के 1989 बैच के आइएएस अधिकारी हैं और वर्तमान में राजस्व एवं भूमि सुधार विभाग के अपर मुख्य सचिव का पद संभाल रहे हैं।इसके अलावा, उनके पास संसदीय कार्य विभाग और सामान्य प्रशासन विभाग के मुख्य जांच आयुक्त की जिम्मेदारी भी थी। अब उन्हें बिहार के प्रशासनिक मुखिया के तौर पर जिम्मेदारी दी गई है।
